AFF Tip of the Week

Week of January 22, 2007 - Recently the AFF crew met up with Tim Rajeff from Rajeff Sports and Echo Fly Rods at the Fly Fishing Expo in Marlborough, Massachusetts. We were able to spend some time with our great sponsor as well as listen to the world class casting professional during a presenation on rod selection and purchasing. During his presentation he did a demo using his newly designed MPR (Micro Practice Rod) which we have recently begun to use. The MPR is very inexpensive and can be used to teach/ learn casting indoors. For beginners and experts the MPR is a really awesome way to practice. Despite its small size it shoots very well and throws the yarn through the guides very well. Pick up the MPR and you are sure to have a lot of fun and work on your casting techniques!
