Week of May 7, 2007 - Let the rod do the work. At AFF we use often teach that becuase our Echo Fly Rods or modern fly rods in general are so advanced, the angler should do less work while fighting a fish. The angler putting a lot of stress on the rod can result in too much pressure and losing fish. Play the fish appropriatley but let the rod do its job and make sure you do yours.
